 HISTORY

pasaka archyvas 13

In 1982 nursery – kindergarten No10 was established in Utena Aukstakalnis microdistrict. In 1983 the institution was named “Pasaka”( “Fairy tale”).

There 12 groups in the kindergarten – 10 pre-school education and 2 pre-primary education groups. Services of education, catering and rest (napping) are provided. Moreover, Child Care Commission is established in the kindergarten.

From 2011 the nursery – kindergarten has been a member of association of pre-school educational institutions „Sveikatos zelmeneliai“. In addition, every year children from pre-primary education groups participate in the international program „Zippy’s Friends“ which teaches them how to cope with everyday difficulties, to identify and talk about their feelings and to explore ways of dealing with them.

In 2013 we were acknowledged as health promoting school. We participate in the EU‘s programmes in which the consumption of dairy products and fruit are encouraged.

We work according to an individualized pre-primary educational curriculum while pre-primary education is carried out according to general pre-primary education curriculum approved by the Minister of Ministry of Education and Science.

In our nursery – kindergarten, children have the opportunity to attend English classes. We have a hall where children do morning exercises, dance, sing or play basketball and football.
